SOUTH FLORIDA Native Status: Native

South Florida History and Distribution: A vining orchid recorded from south of Florida City west to the Cape Sable region of Everglades National Park and south to the lower Florida Keys. Plants previously recorded for The Barnacle State Historic Park appear to have been introduced as cultivated plants.

SOUTH FLORIDA Cultivated Status: Cultivated

Florida Keys History and Distribution: First collected between 1838 and 1853 by John Loomis Blodgett on the island of Key West. Not reported for the Florida Keys by John Kunkel Small in 1913. We consider this native to the upper Keys (Key Largo) and the lower Keys.
