Florida Keys History and Distribution:
Reported in 1931 by John Kunkel Small for hammocks in the Florida Keys. We consider this native and extant in the upper Keys and reported for the lower Keys. An herbarium voucher for the Monroe County Keys was recently collected by George Wilder and colleagues at Dagny Johnson Key Largo Hammock Botanical State Park (33622 SWF).
