Volunteer Event - Ecological Restoration Event - Gopher Tortoise Preserve - Boca Raton

Join the Institute for Regional Conservation and The City of Boca Raton to restore a portion of Gopher Tortoise Preserve! On Saturday, August 30th come volunteer with us for fun event where participants will install native plants in an area where invasive species were removed. This will allow us to enhance and restore the native biodiversity of the park.

There is no experience required! So grab a friend and come out to help repair the essential biodiversity of the Gopher Tortoise Preserve Park. Whether this is your first volunteer event with us or you're a repeat volunteer, we are so excited to have you join the IRC family and see how much fun habitat restiration can be!

Please be sure to RSVP if you want to sign up to participate in this event.

We recommend that you wear comfortable outdoor clothing, you will be in full sun. Wear a hat and sunscreen! Bring a reusable water bottle and anything else that makes your comfortable in the outdoors! We will provide the rest.

Volunteer Event - Ecological Restoration Day - Red Reef Park - Boca Raton

Saturday, September 6th from 9:00am - 11:00am

Red Reef Park - 1400 North Ocean Boulevard, Boca Raton, FL 33432

Join the Institute for Regional Conservation in this exciting project with the City of Boca Raton! On Saturday 6th from 9am to 11am. IRC and our volunteers will be working together to remove nonnative species from the park and the beach dune. We will also install some native coastal grasses. Please meet us in front of the picnic table area (in front of main bathrooms) at Red Reef Park, make a left into the park, and park in front of the bathroom area. A map of where to meet will be sent to your email upon registration. We will have a sign in table at the picnic tables in front of the bathroom area. Groups of volunteers will be instructed how to remove nonnative plants, install native plants and learn about coastal ecosystems.

DO GOOD DELRAY - BACK TO NATIVES BASH!

This is our 4th annual fundraising event with Do Good Delray and the Greater Delray Chamber of Commerce. We are happy to partner with Central Park Taekwondo again this year! We will be hosting our event at the lovely Delray Beach Historical Society and Heritage Gardens. Join us for an enjoyable event suitable for all ages! There will be an array of activities, including delicious food and beverages, trivia, face painting, exciting taekwondo demonstrations, board breaking displays, captivating raffles, and an enticing silent auction! You’ll have the chance to learn all about the grass roots efforts of IRC, while exploring the cottages and rich history of Delray Beach, and take in the beauty of native plant gardens, making it a delightful experience for the whole family.
