Notas/Notes: Axelrod (2011) stated that this was probably native to the Paleotropics, but Acevedo-Rodríguez & Strong (2005) and Acevedo-Rodríguez & Strong (2012, 2016) accept this as native to the West Indies and Puerto Rico.

Origen/Origin: Presumiblemente nativa/Presumed native.

Historia y distribución/History and distribution: Known from a single collection from Boca de Cangrejos (San Juan), apparently along the sandy coast (Acevedo-Rodríguez 2005). Axelrod (2011) cited one specimen from San Juan collected by Molina (56 UPRRP), but this specimen is not at UPRRP online.
