Historia y distribución/History and distribution: Cited by Liogier & Martorell (1982), Liogier (1997 [5: 28]), and Liogier & Martorell (2000) as escaped from cultivation, but rejected as naturalized by Axelrod (2011). However, cited as naturalized in Puerto Rico in the Flora of the West Indies (Acevedo-Rodríguez & Strong 2015).
