Presencia/Occurence: Presuntamente extirpado o extinto/Presumed extirpated or extinct.

Origen/Origin: Nativo/Native.

Historia y distribución/History and distribution: Una grama rara registrada para St. Cruz pero no para Puerto Rico en Britton & Wilson (1926 [VI(3), p. 332]). Reportada por Liogier & Martorell (1982, 2000) para suelo arenoso en el norte de Puerto Rico. Aparentemente recolectada solo en 1914 por H.G. Cowgill (690 US) en Río Piedras. Excluida por Axelrod (2011) basado en que no hay especímenes vistos. No hay registros de esta en MAPR (Jeanine Vélez, com. email 2016).

A rare grass recorded for St. Croix but not Puerto Rico in Britton & Wilson (1926 [VI(3), p. 332]). Reported by Liogier & Martorell (1982, 2000) for sandy soil in northern Puerto Rico. Apparently collected only in 1914 by H.G. Cowgill (690 US) in Río Piedras. Excluded by Axelrod (2011) based on no specimens seen. There are no records of this at MAPR (Jeanine Vélez, email comm. 2016).
