ESTATUS EN LA ISLA DE PUERTO RICO/STATUS ON THE ISLAND OF PUERTO RICO
Presencia/Occurence: Registro por error/Recorded in error.

Historia y distribución/History and distribution: A false record. Reported for Puerto Rico by Liogier & Martorell (1982, 2000) as occurring in a pond near Cayey, and probably elsewhere in Puerto Rico. No specimens seen by Acevedo-Rodríguez & Strong (2005). Axelrod (2011) cited two specimens from the NY herbarium (Liogier 33264, Caudales s.n.), but both of these specimens were re-determined as the introduced E. crassipes by D.L.J. de Sousa in 2015.
