History in the Bahamas: Reported in 1920 by Britton & Millspaugh for the margins of salt pans in the Turks and Caicos Islands (South Caicos Island). Reported by Correll & Correll (1982: 462) for alkaline and somewhat saline soils in the southeastern Archipelago (region 2).
