History in the Bahamas: Described as a new species by Britton & Rose in 1930 (as Peiranisia inaguensis) and presumably lumped into Cassia biflora by Britton & Millspaugh (1920) and Correll & Correll (1982).

Synonyms: Peiranisia inaguensis.
