History in the Bahamas: Reported in 1920 by Britton & Millspaugh for freshwater or slightly brackish swamps and marshes in the northwestern Commonwealth (New Providence, Andros, Grand Bahama). Reported by Correll & Correll (1982: 84-85, with illustrations) for freshwater or slightly brackish swamps and marshes in the northwestern Commonwealth (regions 10-8).
