History in the Bahamas: Reported in 1920 by Britton & Millspaugh for shallow salt and brackish water throughout the Archipelago. Reported by Correll & Correll (1982: 70-71, with illustrations) for fresh or slightly brackish water of marshes, ponds, lakes and lagoons throughout the Archipelago (regions 10-8, 6-4, 2-1).
