History in the Bahamas: Reported in 1920 by Britton & Millspaugh for coastal thickets and shrublands on New Providence, at Delaport. Reported by Correll & Correll (1982: 1138-1139, with illustrations) for rather dense coppices in the northwestern Commonwealth (region 10, 8).
