Native Range: The West Indies (Bahamas, Cuba) and South Florida.

Map of Locations [currently Florida only]

History in the Bahamas: Reported in 1920 by Britton & Millspaugh for a sinkhole near Fresh Creek, Andros. Reported by Correll & Correll (1982: 7) for walls of sinkholes and on rock ledges in open coppices scattered nearly throughout the Commonwealth (regions 9-7, 4, 3).
