History in the Bahamas: Reported in 1920 by Britton & Millspaugh for disturbed areas and cultivated lands in the northwestern and central Commonwealth (Abaco, St. George’s Cay, New Providence, Eleuthera, Long Island). Reported by Correll & Correll (1982: 467-468) for disturbed areas nearly throughout the Commonwealth (regions 10, 8, 4, 3).
