South Florida History and Distribution: This is widespread but rare in South Florida, where it is scattered in pine flatwoods, pine rocklands and scrub, all of which have been subjected to continuous habitat loss and fragmentation. Using modern NatureServe criteria, we re-ranked this as Imperiled in South Florida in July 2018.
