South Florida History and Distribution: Ranked as presumed extirpated in Rare Plants of South Florida (Gann et al. 2002; pp 88-89) based on collections in 1881 and 1960 from Old Rhodes Key and North Key Largo in the northern Florida Keys. No new records are known.

SOUTH FLORIDA Cultivated Status: Cultivated

Synonyms: Neurodium lanceolatum (L.) Fée, Paltonium lanceolatum. Nevrodium lanceolatum is an orthographic variant.
