South Florida History and Distribution: Ranked as possibly extirpated in Rare Plants of South Florida (Gann et al. 2002; pp 179-180) based on collections in 1900 and 1954 along the Caloosahatchee River in Lee County, and a possible waif or introduced population at Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve in Collier County in 1988. No new records are known.

SOUTH FLORIDA Cultivated Status: Not Cultivated
