Treated as historical in Rare Plants of South Florida (Gann et al. 2002), this was rediscovered in Fakahatchee Strand Preserve State Park by Keith Bradley, Steven Woodmansee, Jimi Sadle, Melissa Abdo, Mike Owen and Kristie Wendelberger in May, 2003.
