South Florida History and Distribution: Recorded as Presumed Extirpated in Rare Plants of South Florida (
Gann et al. 2002, p 78), based on a last know collection from the vicinity of Fort Myers in 1917. Rediscovered in South Florida in 2004 by Steve Woodmansee and Jimi Sadle at Prairie Pines Preserve, Lee County and reported as collected in Lee County in 2006 and 2007, and at Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary in Collier County (Wilder & McCollom 2018).
