South Florida History and Distribution: Ranked as critically imperiled in Rare Plants of South Florida (Gann et al. 2002; pp 398-300) based on three occurrences in two conservation areas (Deering Estate at Cutler in Miami-Dade County, Fakahatchee Strand Preserve State Park in Collier County) and one none conservation area in Miami-Dade County. No new occurrences are known.
