SOUTH FLORIDA Native Status: Native

South Florida History and Distribution: Reported as possibly extirpated in Rare Plants of South Florida (Gann et al. 2002, p. 133) based on two old collections in sandy pine rocklands of Miami-Dade County, and a single collection from Bonita Springs, Lee County in 1985 ( Brown s.n., USF). This was rediscovered in July, 2021 by Jay Horn in a Lee County Conservation 20/20 protected area (see Florida Flora and Ecosystematics and iNaturalist).
