South Florida History and Distribution: A very rare herb recorded as possibly extirpated in Rare Plants of South Florida (
Gann et al. 2002:124-125), based on a single collection in 1986 from scrubby flatwoods near Immokalee in Collier County (
Huck 3294 FSU). Most recently documented in scrubby flatwoods at Hickey Creek Mitigation Park by Felicia Nudo in May, 2019 (
