South Florida History and Distribution: Ranked as critically imperiled in Rare Plants of South Florida (
Gann et al. 2002; pp 215-216) based on one occurrence at Jonathan Dickinson State Park where it was last observed in 1997. Using updated NatureServe criteria, we have reranked this species as possibly extirpated in 2025.
