South Florida History and Distribution: Ranked as critically imperiled in Rare Plants of South Florida (Gann et al. 2002; pp 213-215) based on one occurrence in Biscayne National Park, Mami-Dade County. An additional occurrence in Broward County was documented in November 2002 (Howell 604 USF).
