Wildlife and Ecology:
Larval host plant for gulf fritillary (Agraulis vanilla), julia heliconian (Dryas julia) and zebra longwing (Heliconius charitonius) butterflies, but the larvae of gulf fritillary do poorly. This is the common edible commercial passion flower, which can be quite aggressive in the garden.
