Description:
	Perennial wildflower 3-6 feet tall with hairy stems and leaves. Yellow ray flowers 1 inch wide.

	Moist, sandy sites, flatwoods.

	Moist, well-drained sandy or limestone soils, without humus.

	Low; it grows in nutrient poor soils.
Salt Water Tolerance:
	Low; does not tolerate long-term flooding by salt or brackish water.

	Low; salt wind may burn the leaves.

	High; does not require any supplemental water once established.

	Full sun to light shade.
